Video: Watch our yoga newbie editor get stuck in crow’s pose

Can yoga help our stressed-out editor Mark Gentili chill? Metamorphosis Studio in Capreol offered him the chance to find out

Sudbury.com editor Mark Gentili is — how shall I put this? — an habitually stressy individual.

While we in the newsroom love him just the way he is, it would be nice to see him be able to … chill a bit, perhaps.

Well that’s just what Liz Lessard, the owner of the Metamorphosis Yoga Studio in Capreol, offered Gentili after he did a story on her business back in February.

You see, we have a video series where we get staff members to try things they don’t know how to do. Over the past year, Gentili has tried both cross-country skiing (a catastrophic fall-o-rama) and downhill skiing (that went much better), driving a school bus, going back to kindergarten and more.

He’s now added yoga to that list.

Other than Gentili hilariously getting stuck in the crow’s pose and banging his head on the ground repeatedly (to the concern of Lessard’s adorable dog Trixie), his recent session with Lessard did seem to bring him some inner tranquility.

That’s even with me filming the whole thing along with our journalism school placement student, Kaitlyn Lemay.

Mark says he’d definitely like to try yoga again, perhaps along with his wife.
