Last year, we sent our editor, Mark Gentili, back to kindergarten as part of our ongoing “staff tries” video series, and we couldn’t get over the reaction the kids seemed to have to him. Cuteness overload!
He must be some sort of kid-whisperer or something. A reporter-whisperer, well, that depends on the day.
So when Discovery Early Learning & Care opened their new site in New Sudbury this past spring, we started the process of setting up a visit so we could send Mark back to daycare as well.
Located in the former Leon XIII School at 1311 Gemmell St. alongside Gymzone Gymnastics, the new Discovery Early Learning daycare centre is licensed for 134 children, from infants to school age.
Our visit finally happened this week, and, as you’ll see in my video, the three and four-year-old kids in the classroom we visited couldn’t get enough of Mark. Maybe it’s his innate silliness?
As a father of adult children who misses when his kids were little, Mark looked happy as a clam as well.
Thank you to the staff and kids at Discovery Early Learning for being so welcoming to us.
If you’d like to check out some of our other staff tries videos, over the past year Gentili has tried both cross-country skiing (a hilarious and catastrophic fall-o-rama) and downhill skiing (that went much better), yoga, driving a school bus and more.
We also have another upcoming out-of-office adventure planned, so stay tuned!
