Four people were arrested and a quantity of illegal drugs and money seized during a Nov. 21 drug raid at a residence in Sagamok Anishnawbek.
The Anishinabek Police Service (APS) has made four arrests and laid more than a dozen charges after a drug trafficking investigation in Sagamok Anishnawbek.
“In October 2025, members of the APS (Anishinabek Police Service) began an investigation into the trafficking of fentanyl and methamphetamine from a residence in Sagamok Anishnawbek,” police said in a news release. “In the early morning hours of November 21, the APS Major Crime Unit, with the assistance of the OPP CSCU (Community Street Crime Unit), executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) warrant at the residence of interest.”
Police said that search warrant turned up:
- 29 grams of fentanyl
- 3 cellular phones
- $10,150 in Canadian currency
- 1 expandable baton
As a result of the investigation, a 33-year-old woman from Sagamok Anishnawbek was arrested at the residence and is charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
Two 18-year-old men from North York were also arrested at the residence and are both charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
A 39-year-old male from Sagamok Anishnawbek was arrested at the residence and transported to hospital due to suspected opioid consumption. He has since been released and has been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Failure to Comply with Undertaking (two counts)
All four parties have since been released on an undertaking, APS said.
