Snowplow catches fire in northern Ontario

The Greenstone fire department and OPP responded to the incident Tuesday morning.

LONGLAC — Traffic was disrupted on a section of Highway 11 Tuesday morning after a snowplow truck caught fire.

The incident occurred at about 7:20 a.m. near Klotz Lake, 30 kilometres east of Longlac.  

OPP and four vehicles from Greenstone Fire & Emergency Services responded.

Images posted on social media showed the front of the plow truck engulfed in flames.

It sustained significant damage, but an OPP spokesperson said no one was injured.

The cause of the fire has not been confirmed.
