Update: Missing Sudbury man found deceased

The body of Mark, 51, was located in a wooded area off Frood Road this afternoon

Greater Sudbury Police are seeking the public's help to locate a missing Sudbury man. Mark, 51, was last seen on Jan. 13 at around 12:30 a.m. on Antwerp Avenue. He is described as standing 6-0 and weighing 124 kg (275 lbs). Mark has a large build, short greying brown hair, a goatee and blue eyes.

Greater Sudbury Police have located the body of a Sudbury man who went missing Jan. 13.

In a news release this afternoon, police said Mark, 51, was located deceased in a wooded area off Frood Road at around 2 p.m. on Jan. 15. He was located by members of the canine unit.

"Our deepest condolences go out to Mark's family and friends," police said. "We ask that you respect their privacy during this emotional time."

Foul play is not suspected, GSPS said. A post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

The man had last been seen Jan. 13 at around 12:30 a.m. on Antwerp Avenue. The missing person report said there had been concerns for his well-being when he went missing.
