Now you can support the work of the John Howard Society of Sudbury by purchasing the organization’s 2026 Inmate Art Calendar, featuring folk art from people in custody at the North Bay jail.
The calendars are $20 each and can be purchased by contacting the John Howard Society at 705-673-9576.
It’s a fundraiser to assist with their services, which the society describes as programs that “enable those in conflict with the law to learn how to use their skills and proficiencies in positive ways”, and a release from the organizations states the calendars “show that even though a person is in custody, they have skills and abilities that can be shared.”
More than 600 entries were received and the submissions were juried by the John Howard Society and White Water Gallery in North Bay.
