Driver charged with impaired driving after collision

A 27-year-old Sudburian was charged with impaired driving following a Dec. 28 single-vehicle motor vehicle collision on North Road in Markstay-Warren.

Nipissing West OPP members were dispatched to the scene at approximately 6:50 a.m.

No injuries were reported, but the driver was arrested for impaired driving and taken to an OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, the 27-year-old Sudburian, was charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of greater than 80.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Feb. 4 in Sudbury.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.
