💛 In a single day, our community came together to donate over $10,500 to the Sudbury Food Bank

This festive season, we asked you, our loyal readers, to join us in supporting the Sudbury Food Bank, and your response was nothing short of extraordinary.

The holidays bring a surge in demand, with more families than ever relying on these services for essential support.

Sudbury.com rallied the entire community to step up. In partnership with Real Canadian Superstore, we offered specially curated gift cards through an online pop-up store to make giving easier than ever.

To amplify your generosity, Sudbury.com and several local businesses pledged to match every purchase. In fact, every single gift card was matched 18 times!

Together, we raised an incredible $10,600 and delivered 15 gift cards, providing meaningful support to those who need it most during the holiday season.

Thank you for helping to make our community stronger!

Thanks to Real Canadian Superstore for donating the gift cards for this initiative, and to the following businesses who have joined us in matching each donation: Jack Dougan Associates, Dalron, Cambrian Ford, Lougheed Foundation, Sudbury Barber Studio, Flower Towne, Universal Home Care, Conroy Scott LLP, Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd., Kia Sudbury, Benji Dittrich Construction, Diggs & Dwellings, Sudbury Community Foundation, Magna Mining, Southside Chevrolet Buick GMC, Bestech and Bestech employees.

If you didn't get a chance to participate in this program, we encourage you to send your donation directly to the local food bank. You can donate online or call (705-671-9663) to arrange a donation or click here for more information on how to give back.
