SUDBURY — Police in Sudbury, Ont., say a 38-year-old woman is dead after a tent fire at a homeless encampment.

Police say they were called around 10 p.m. Monday to the Energy Court encampment, where people had used snow to put the fire out.

A woman was then found dead inside the tent.

Police say her identity will not be released out of respect for her family's wishes.

The coroner's office is set to do a post-mortem to determine the cause of death.

Police say detectives are working in collaboration with the coroner's office and the fire marshal's office.
