Lasalle Secondary presents “A Christmas Carol”

Ebenezer Scrooge is back - just in time for the holiday season. The Drama Department at Lasalle Secondary School will proudly present “A Christmas Carol” based on the original story by Charles Dickens. Public performances will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 17 and Thursday, Dec. 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lasalle Secondary School Black Box Theatre. SPG presents Once Upon a One More Time

What happens when your favorite fairytale princesses get a brand-new storybook twist? In this dazzling new Broadway musical, Once Upon a One More Time, the classic world of “happily ever after” collides with the music of global pop icon Britney Spears. Full of humour, heart, and girl-power magic, Once Upon a One More Time is a musical celebration of self-discovery, friendship, and the freedom to define your own story. GNO presents Nouveau Louvre

Let’s party! The GNO is back with its long-awaited annual event: Le Nouveau Louvre, a holiday art sale! This exhibition celebrates the richness of our artistic community by showcasing works submitted by artists from near and abroad. Whether it’s your first time or 30th, we can’t wait to share this edition with you. Shop in person at the GNO (or online at gn-o.org) to find that rare gem. All works are sold for $225. The Living Nativity

All Nations Church has announced the return of The Living Nativity for its 38th consecutive year. This event will take place nightly on the grounds of Science North Dec. 21-24, with the presentation commencing at 7:30 p.m. It is also excited for the special fireworks presentation occurring after the show on Christmas Eve. The Living Nativity brings to life the story of the birth of Jesus Christ, featuring a cast of volunteers in an immersive and captivating experience for people of all ages. The event is free to attend, and spectators are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the Christmas lights generously provided by the Sudbury Charities Foundation. In the spirit of giving, attendees are also invited to contribute to their meaningful cause.
YES Theatre presents Annie

1933. New York City. In the grip of the "Great Depression," a spirited orphan has a dream of escaping the Hudson Street Orphanage and finding her real parents. Based on the popular syndicated comic strip, Annie is a hero whose superpower is ingenuity and guts. It's a musical about the necessity and perils of optimism, with an eye on realities and a gear for change. Featuring unforgettable songs like, "Tomorrow" and "It's A Hard Knock Life" - this new production delivers joy, edge and inspiration. Directed by award winning Peter Hinton-Davis (Shaw Festival, Canadian Opera Company, National Arts Centre) It's gonna be an Annie like no other! EDGE+ Conference hosted by Spark Employment Services

Spark Employment Services is once again hosting the EDGE+ Conference, taking place January 20 to 21, 2026 at the Radisson Hotel in Sudbury. This free, one-and-a-half-day event will gather leaders, HR professionals, community organizations, and “changemakers" to explore strategies for building more accessible, inclusive, and resilient workplaces, states a release from Sparks. With the theme “Accessibility and Inclusivity in the Workplace”, EDGE+ 2026 will feature “expert-led panels, hands-on workshops, interactive sessions” and a keynote address (speaker to be announced). For the 3rd edition of Par ici le talent: Liens souterrains, the organizing committee is concocting an ambitious community theatre project aimed at creating rich and lasting links between newcomers and the host community. A great cultural braiding is in the works. A project in collaboration with TNO, La Slague, le Centre de santé communautaire du Grand Sudbury and la Communauté francophone accueillante de Sudbury. Mayor’s Celebration of the Arts

The Mayor’s Celebration of the Arts is a concert presented by the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra in collaboration with the Sudbury Arts Council. This special event features Mayor Paul Lefebvre performing on both piano and saxophone, including works by the celebrated Canadian composer André Gagnon. Guest artists include YES Theatre, who will join the orchestra for select performances, as well as Poet Laureate Alex Tetreault. Together, they create an inspiring celebration of Sudbury’s artistic excellence and the spirit of collaboration that defines our community.
