Lips N Lines Plus Medical Esthetics has expanded from a single treatment room to a five-room clinic over seven years. Since the beginning, owners Jennifer Dawson and Claire Warren say, the nurse practitioner model shapes the experience from intake to follow-up.
“We are nurses first. Therapeutic communication, informed consent and safety are built into our training,” Dawson said. “Patients tell us they feel heard and involved in decisions, and that translates into better outcomes.”
“We never want people to feel rushed or pressured,” said Dawson. “We start with a free consultation, look at photos together, talk through goals and build an action plan that fits the person, not a sales target.”

Neuromodulators and dermal fillers are the clinic’s most requested services. The owners stress that a “frozen” look can be avoided when dosing and placement are conservative. The goal is to enhance your natural beauty, not make you look fake.
“The vast majority of our clients want to look like themselves, just refreshed,” Dawson said. “With neuromodulators, we reduce the force of muscle contraction to soften movement lines, rather than paralyze expression.”
They differentiated between a lip flip and a lip filler, two treatments often confused. A lip flip places a neuromodulator above the upper lip to relax the contracting muscle, softening barcode lines and creating a subtle lift for a slightly fuller look when smiling. Lip filler uses hyaluronic acid to add volume within the lip tissue.
“They are different tools that can be complementary,” Dawson said. “Our approach is to replenish what time has taken, not overdo it.”
Microneedling is another popular option, supported by medical-grade devices and topical serums. The treatment creates controlled microchannels that stimulate collagen and elastin while improving texture and brightness.
“You leave pink like a mild sunburn, and there is minimal downtime,” Dawson said. “It is one of the best ways to work on fine lines and dullness while supporting long-term skin quality.”

The clinic has layered in technologies to address firmness and texture, including Morpheus8 radiofrequency microneedling and Plexr, a Health Canada-approved plasma device used for eyelid rejuvenation, crepey skin and removal of select benign lesions. They also offer Aptos thread lifts for patients who want a lift without surgery.
“Threads can help with early jowling and mid-face laxity,” Dawson said. “We freeze the area for comfort and review detailed aftercare so healing stays on track.”
Regenerative options have grown alongside energy devices. Lips N Lines Plus offers PRP and NaturaGel PRP for skin and hair restoration, as well as biostimulatory injectables such as Sculptra and Radiesse to stimulate collagen production. They use a simple analogy to explain why many plans combine treatments.
“Ageing is a multimodal problem,” Dawson said. “If your face is a table and the skin is the tablecloth, aging causes you to lose some of the structure underneath over time. Replacing lost support and improving skin quality together gives the most natural change.”
In addition to medical treatments, clients can access dermal peels, microdermabrasion, facials, dermaplaning and laser hair removal.
Another newer technology the clinic offers is ImagePRO skin analysis, which provides detailed information on your individual skin issues and a targeted care plan to help you regain your glow.
“People like one-stop care with a team that already knows their history,” Dawson said. “Some arrive with a list. Others say, ‘You decide.’ Either way, the plan belongs to the patient.”
For anyone unsure where to start, the owners recommend booking a no-cost consultation to discuss concerns, photos, goals and timelines.
“Confidence looks different for everyone,” Dawson said. “Sometimes it is a few units to soften a frown line. Sometimes it is a collagen plan over a season. Our job is to guide, set realistic expectations and keep it safe.”
