A Legacy of Love

Debbie (Debra) Agnes Sizer (Walker) passed away January 13, 2026 at Health Sciences North in Sudbury. Debbie is survived by her loving husband Ron, her strong and beautiful daughter Jennifer, her wonderful son Neil, his incredible partner Beckie, and her amazing grandchildren, Duncan and Ava.

Debbie was the Eldest child of Finlay and Mary Jesse Walker. Debbie will be greatly missed and always loved by her siblings, and their spouses, Linda (deceased), Mary (married to Tim), Brenda (married to Paul), Wendy (married to Grant), Lynne (deceased), Robert (her favorite) and Michael (married to Diane).

Auntie Deb will be forever missed and loved by all her amazing nieces, nephews, as well as their spouses, partners and children – Kyle (married to Crystal with kids Addisyn, Reese and Ty), Christopher (her Godchild - deceased), Katryna (married to Dylan), Steven, Andrea (married to Joseph), Jamie Lee, Taylor (married to Thomas), Nicholas, Katie and Joseph. Auntie Deb will be forever loved by her godchildren Darren and Jordan (married to Jenn with their daughter Jolie).

Deb was always loved and cherished moments spent with her brothers and sisters in-law, and their kids, Jimmy (deceased), Bobby (married to Sandy), Mary Beth (married to Hector – deceased), Al (married to Sim), James Leduc, Kathy Hoag, Bill Leduc, Michael Sizer (married to Allison) and Ian Sizer (married to Heather and their awesome daughter Tessa).

She was always loved by her cousins, her aunts and her uncles. A special thank you to Uncle Vincent who traveled a long way to play her a few tunes.

Deb will be always loved and remembered by her friends who meant as much to her as family, her euchre girls and her bowling team, Shelley (married to Denis), Betty Ann (married to Mike), Anita and Cheri (married to Eddie).

Debbie also had a bonus daughter whom she loved as much (and maybe sometimes more) than her actual daughter, Lori Lynn Lepage.

Debbie lived her life to the fullest. She never took a moment for granted. She lived a life filled with music, cards, family and friends. Debbie took advantage of every chance to gather with friends and family to celebrate the smallest, or greatest, of life’s joys. Debbie never shied away from a challenge or passed up an adventure. She went skydiving, water skiing, axe throwing, she rode rollercoasters, she jumped off docks and went for sea-doo rides. She was undeniably the best opponent in cribbage and the sought after partner when playing euchre. Debbie forever held an affinity to her friends, family and life in Cape Breton.

Debbie leaves behind a Legacy of Love. She would often say that you never know how much time you have with those you love, so make the moments count.

Her final message to all, “Love each other, support each other and make the moments count”.

Debbie said her final goodbyes surrounded by the love of family, her husband, her kids and grandkids, while holding hands and singing songs.

Keep an eye out for blue jays, if you see one, you know Debbie is close.

Donations can be made to the Cancer Center or to your local humane society or animal rescue.

As per Debbie’s wishes, there will be no visitation but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

A huge, heart felt thank you, to all the amazing, caring and knowledgeable staff at Health Sciences North that made her final days as comfortable as can be. A special thank you to doctors Shiata, Linford, Bianni, Jackson and Ariel. A huge thank you to nurses Taylor, Jess, Jackson, Sam, Lindsay, Nkiru, Brittney, Edward and Michelle. High fives to PSW Crystal and Heidi and to porter Leo.
