Scottish singer-songwriter and leading acoustic fingerstyle guitarist Simon Kempston, will perform in a private home in Sudbury Oct. 29.
All are welcome at the concert, which begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets and location at bit.ly/Kempston. The proceeds will go to the artist.
From Edinborough, Kempston has toured the world performing his highly original, contemporary acoustic songs and music. This intimate show will feature incredible, distinctive and intricate fingerstyle guitar work and gently nuanced, compelling tenor vocals.
His guitar style draws from the disparate genres of classical, Celtic and blues (among others). An inspiring, poetic lyricist, his impassioned live performances showcase timeless songwriting with a universal appeal, interspersed with humorous worldly tales.
With more than a decade of international touring behind him in 32 European countries, Siberian Russia, Uzbekistan (the first Scottish artist to do so), Canada (nine tours), New Zealand, Argentina and Brazil, he has performed at a countless number of esteemed venues, festivals, and on a plethora of international radio and television stations.
In the summer of 2023 Kempston released his first album of classical guitar pieces, entitled “Moonrise Over Mostar,” following on from four instrumental acoustic guitar albums.
