If you need a special artistic gift for someone in your life, or if you just love art and want to find something to hang on your wall, Galerie du Nouvel-Ontario is hosting its 30th Nouveau Louvre event until Dec. 20.
Named for the famed Paris gallery, the art sale showcases works submitted by local artists and those from outside the region.
“This exhibition celebrates the richness of our artistic community by showcasing works submitted by artists from here and abroad. Whether it’s your first time or your 30th, we can't wait to share this edition with you!” the GNO said in an email to Sudbury.com.
“While we primarily focus on local artists, anyone is welcome to participate. We’re not strict about selection.”
The GNO said the official submission deadline has passed, but submissions will still be accepted and displayed in the online shop and in the gallery as space becomes available.
All art pieces are sold at a fixed of $225, with $150 going to the artist and $75 going to support the GNO.
To view the artwork, visitors can stop by the GNO from Tuesday to Saturday, noon to 6 p.m., or browse the full collection in the online shop.
