captain Brian McGarry with his game-worn jersey from
the 2004-05 season to honour his achievements with the
franchise. McGarry, centre, is flanked by Barry

Mike Rowlandson on the right. |
The celebration took place before the Junior
Wolves dumped the Northern Michigan Black Bears 4-2.
McGarry scored one goal and two points in the
win.
McGarry was presented with his game-worn
jersey from last season (his old number 9, he wears number 10
now) to commemorate his achievements with the club.
Since joining the franchise back in 2001, the
20-year-old has ripped up the franchise records, becoming the
all-time leader in goals, assists, points and games played. He
has led the team in scoring three times during his career. He's
on pace to lead the squad for a fourth time this season.
He also recently set a new mark for most
points scored in a single season, eclipsing the old mark of
105.
Earlier this season, McGarry became the first
player in team history to pass the 200 games played mark.
In 211 career games, as of Friday, March 3,
McGarry had recorded 161 goals, 222 assists for 382
points.
McGarry hasn't just impressed his own club,
but has also impressed the entire league. The Junior Wolves
captain was recently named the NOJHL league MVP for the 2005-06
season. He was also named to the First All-Star team.
The Junior Wolves actually ate up a lot of
the First All-Star selections.
Joining McGarry were goalie Paul Pidutti,
defenceman Rob Bonhomme, forwards Nick Heins and Brenden
Biedermann, head coach Darryl Moxam and manager Barry
McCrory.
North Bay defenceman Quinn Waller and Abitibi
trainer Bruce Renwick rounded out the other First All-Star
picks.
Other local award winners were Mike
Rowlandson as Executive of the Year and McGarry was nominated
as the Molson CJAHL Nominee for Player of the Year.
