It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Mohammed “Saleem” Khan in Sudbury on Friday, January 9, 2026, just four days after celebrating his 80th birthday. Born in Pakistan, Saleem came to Canada in 1972. He lived in Garson with his wife Brenda and was a well-known figure in the Sudbury and Garson Communities, having owned several businesses across the area. However, he was most often seen at the Tim Horton’s at the corner of Lasalle and Falconbridge which he considered his home.
Saleem was passionate about his businesses, but what he cherished most was his connection with people. He loved engaging with customers, whether discussing business, family life, or simply sharing stories and wisdom. Known for his kindness and generosity, Saleem always willing to lend a listening ear or offer help to anyone in need. His presence will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched.
He is survived by his loving wife Brenda along with his stepchildren Albert Pileggi and Gia Jobe. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported Saleem during his recent illness, particularly his manager, Rob, who was like a son to him. In keeping with Saleem’s wishes there will be a celebration of life at a future date.
