The Young Sudbury Singers will present a concert of seasonal favourites Dec. 14, featuring the enthusiastic voices of the 50 children and youth in its four choirs.
Audience sing-along opportunities will be included.
“This family-friendly concert will appeal to audience members of all ages,” said Heather Charsley, director of the Senior Choir and the new Borealis honour choir, in a press release.
“The program will feature a variety of traditional and contemporary selections, all shared in celebration of the holiday season.”
“Our singers have been rehearsing since September and are excited to share the music they’ve prepared,” said Colette Nadeau, co-director of the Junior Choir.
“We’re also looking forward to singing with our guest performers: Sudbury's newest a capella singing group the Harmony ‘Pop-up’ Chorus, and the 4Ever Plaid quartet,” said Intermediate Choir director Jessie Lloyd. “It promises to be a joyful music-filled afternoon.”
The concert will be held on Sunday, Dec. 14, starting at 2 pm, in the McKellar Auditorium at Lockerby Composite School, 1391 Ramsey View Ct. in Sudbury. Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for students; children six years old and under are admitted free.
Tickets can be reserved by phoning Ralph McIntosh at 705-662-0115 or emailing [email protected]. Tickets will also be available at the door.
