Steering us toward the skills and wisdom he instilled, especially for “Jim Jobs” and outdoor adventures
Shining upon his favourite family resemblances, from the Adriaans’ identical faces to their moonlit dancing moves
Reflecting the beauty of life’s waves, reminding us to appreciate both calm waters and stormy seas
Beaconing memories of a life well lived, loved, and led as our greatest hero, teacher, and protector
Signalling that he sees just how deeply we miss him, and how we strive to honour his legacy every single day
Navigating our hearts to the certainty that one day our soul family will reunite, tethered together for eternity
Forever safeguarding the threshold of Heaven and Earth, the lighthouse guiding us to safety and back to him
Until we meet again, when the lighthouse keeper puts down his book, binoculars, and fishing rod and steps out of his wooden boat
Casting a smile at his beloved mother, brother, uncle, and pup Merlin as he whispers, “They’re here”
Standing humbly in the knowing that he served as the compass on our voyage, our heavenly lighthouse keeper
