For nearly a quarter century, Gonga’s Grill has remained an iconic name in the Sudbury restaurant landscape, offering a warm and familiar gathering place where great meals and genuine hospitality come together.  Known for its signature Gonga Burger, sit-down service, comforting classic menu items, all-day breakfast and prices that always seem fair, the two locations of Gonga’s Grill remain the kind of restaurants locals return to week after week – and out -of-town visitors quickly fall in love with.

“No matter where I go, people know the name Gonga’s Grill,” said Gonga’s owner Dan Cusack, who operates several local businesses including the restaurant he opened at age 29.  “We have our regular client base. And people who come into town for hockey or baseball tournaments discover us and come back.”

The reason people “gotta go to Gonga’s” is simple: more than being just a place to eat, Gonga’s Grill is a proud supporter of the Sudbury community, a welcoming community hub where good food, friendly faces, and hometown spirit have made it a local favourite for close to 25 years.

“We have a model as an affordable family dining place,” said Cusack. “Consumer prices for everything continue to climb, but we try to remain consistent. We’re not a chain that has to follow trends or answer to corporate owners. We’re locally owned, we sponsor local hockey and  baseball teams. We are the same Gonga’s Grill, with the same owners, the same traditional menu.”

One of the menu favourites at Gonga’s Grill is the 16-ounce Gonga Burger, a full pound of hand-formed, seasoned beef grilled to juicy perfection and catering to larger appetites. It’s the kind of burger that defines the restaurant and keeps guests coming back. Not that Gonga’s doesn’t react to changing tastes – recent trends towards healthier choices have meant Gonga’s Grill now offers fresh wraps, salads, and vegan options as part of its list of favourites. On the other hand, Gonga’s in-house Poutinery offers a variety of different options for people who love to treat themselves to delicious comfort food.

When you’re looking for a relaxing family atmosphere, great food, and reasonable prices for a date night, special occasion, or just a quick bite, consider visiting either of the two Sudbury locations of Gonga’s Grill -- 233 Brady Street and 467 Falconbridge Road.
