Faye de Lamorandiere passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, January 7th, 2026.

Faye was born on April 06, 1947, in Killarney, Ontario, the beloved daughter of the late Agnes and Joseph de Lamorandiere. Predeceased by her brother, Lowell, she is lovingly remembered by her sisters, Lorraine (George Bamford) and Floreen (Chris Shortt); her brothers, Gerry (Theresa) and Peter (Susan); and many nieces and nephews. Faye will also be remember by her extended family, friends, and Killarney community members whose lives she touched.

Faye served her country as a member of the Royal Canadian Armed Forces, spending 17 years stationed both on the east coast of Canada and in England. As an Oceanographic Operator and firearms instructor, she played a vital role in Cold War naval operations. Faye earned several medals in recognition of her commitment and exemplary service.

Following her military career, Faye used her skills, precision, and attention to detail as a landscape technician for an architectural firm in Mississauga, Ontario. She later returned home to Killarney to care for her parents, a testament to her deep sense of family responsibility. During that time, Faye served Killarney Township as a Public Works Superintendent, Chief Building Official, and Bylaw Enforcement Officer.

Faye was an outdoor enthusiast, who enjoyed cross country skiing, camping, fishing, curling, and snowmobiling.

Faye will be remembered for her unwavering loyalty, dedication, sharp wit, generous spirit, and wonderful sense of humour. Her legacy lives on in the communities she served, the family she cherished, and the many people whose lives were enriched by her presence.
