8 a.m. update from OPP:
Highway 17 has fully re-opened west of Massey following a two-vehicle collision. Minor injuries reported.
Original information:
A collision has closed Highway 17 in the Massey area.
According to Ontario 511, Highway 17 is closed in both directions at Government Road (S) and Caddel Road (N) in Massey. All lanes are closed.
Manitoulin OPP say they are investigating collision involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle. One person has been taken to hospital.
The closure was first reported by Ontario 511 at 6:29 a.m. on Oct. 23, 2025.
