In loving memory of Aini Chevrier, who passed away peacefully at the age of 97 on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, at Health Sciences North, with her loving son David at her side.
Beloved wife of Ernest Chevrier (predeceased in 1991). Loving mother of Allan (Connie), David and Miriam (Mike). Cherished grandmother of Sarah (Brett), Becky (Trevor), Leah (Jay), Joshua (Kate), Vanessa (Jason) and Steve, and seven great-grandchildren.
Dear daughter of George and Evelina Kari (both predeceased). Dear sister of Lauri Kari (Elaine, predeceased), Mauno Kari (predeceased) (Flora) and Harold Kari (predeceased). Sadly missed by her loving nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a big thank you to the staff and community at Walford on the Park, Copper Cliff, for their years of kindness and caring. Thank you to the Health Sciences North staff on the South Tower, 6th Floor, who took such loving care of our mother/sister. The doctors, nurses and PSW staff, many of whom commented on her sweetness. They often called her mama.
Memorial service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home (233 Larch St., Sudbury) on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, at 1 p.m. Friends may gather after 11 a.m. on Saturday.
