If you want to see championship show dogs strut their stuff, Toe Blake Arena is the place to be this weekend.
The Sudbury and District Kennel Club is hosting three days of championship dog competition in Coniston from Sept. 19-21.
The shows at the Toe Blake Arena will feature more than 200 Canadian Kennel Club-registered purebred dogs from throughout Canada.
The pooches will be vying for championship titles and ranking points to determine Canada’s No. 1 dog.
“Spectators will have an opportunity to safe-distance mingle with exhibitors, dog breeders and dogs while enjoying a great learning experience into the world of purebred dogs and dogs in general,” according to a media release issued by organizers.
Spectators are welcome, but are not allowed to bring family pets to the event grounds. The spectator fee is $5 per adult, $2 per child, families are $10 and seniors over 55 are free.
